Recipe(tried): Guacamole
Misc.6 ripe avocados
1/4 cup finely diced tomatoes
2 T. finely diced onion
1 clove garlic, finely minced, OR 1/4 tsp. granulated garlic
1 tsp. lime juice OR lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Cut avocados in half lengthwise. Remove pit; scoop out fruit into medium bowl. Mash with fork or potato masher.
Add remaining ingredients. Taste; adjust seasonings.
Serve immediately or chill before serving. If refrigerating, cover with plastic wrap, laying plastic wrap directly on top of the mixture to prevent browning.
Can be used as a dip with tortilla chips or as an accompaniment for fajitas, tacos, or other Mexican foods.
