Recipe: Homemade Sugar-Free Apple Sauce (2) for Jacque

HOMEMADE SUGAR-FREE APPLE SAUCE

5 to 6 medium apples, peeled, and cored (Golden Delicious is a good variety to use)
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp lemon juice
ground cinnamon (to serve)

Cut apple in chunks or coarsely chop. Place in a large saucepan with 1/2 cup water and lemon juice. Heat to boiling. Turn heat to medium-low and simmer 10-15 minutes or until the apples are soft.

Serve warm or cold. Sprinkle each serving with cinnamon, if desired.

AppleSAUCE (SUGAR FREE)

4 medium apples; pared, cored, quarterd
1/4 to 1/2 cup water
2 sticks cinnamon (or ground cinnamon, to taste)
1/4 cup Nutrasweet Spoonful

Combine apples, water and cinnamon. Cover and simmer until very tender, about 10 minutes.

Remove cinnamon. Mash apples until smooth. Stir in sweetener.
