Recipe: Microwave Apple Crisp

MICROWAVE APPLE CRISP

4 cups apples, sliced and peeled
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
6 tbsp. margarine
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Place apples in a microwave-safe 9-inch pie plate. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Cover and microwave on high 2 minutes.

Combine remaining ingredients in microwave-safe bowl.

Microwave on high 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute. Sprinkle over apples.

Microwave, uncovered, on high 8 minutes or until apples are tender. Leftovers are delicious reheated.
