New Orleans Cafe Au Lait
Makes 8 large cups

6-8 cups hot chicory coffee or strong coffee
3 cups whole milk
1/3 to 1/2 cup heavy cream

Combine the milk and cream in a saucepan. Bring just to a boil, then immediately remove the pan from heat. Fill cups or mugs 1/3 full with hot coffee. Add the hot milk mixture.
