Recipe: Date Macaroons

DATE MACAROONS

Prize winning recipe

2 egg whites
1 cup chopped dates
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Beat egg whites until stiff and dry.

Add remaining ingredients in order given. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-oiled baking sheet.

Bake in slow oven (325 F) until delicate brown. Cool before removing from pan.
