My favorite bread!
Pumpernickel
Bread Machine (2lb. Loaf)
Source: Black & Decker Manual
1 1/2 cups water
3 tablespoons powdered milk
2 tablespoons shortening
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons molasses
1 3/4 teaspoons salt
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour (2 2/3 c. bread flour)
2/3 cup rye flour
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 teaspoons instant coffee powder
1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
Place in BM pan as per manufacturer's directions. Black & Decker is in order listed. Whole Grain setting, crust is preselected.
