Heres a recipe for Paska (Easter bread) that was passed down from my grandmother through my mother. You can if you wish,substitute margerine for butter and egg substitute for the eggs with only a slight change in taste or texture. 8 cups flour Heat milk to boiling point add butter,salt and 1 tsp salt sugar, let cool. Add yeast and 1tbsp sugar to 5 eggs beaten well 1/4 cup lukewarm water. Add eggs and yeast 1 cup sugar mixture to cooled milk. Add to flour and knead 2 pkgs quick rise yeast till smooth and elastic.Let rise untill doubled 1 tbsp sugar in bulk. Shape into rolls or bread and put in 1/2 lb butter or oleo greased loaf pans. Let rise second time and bake 2 cups milk in 350 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes. Allmost forgot, brush each loaf with an egg wash prior to baking. Makes 4 loaves.
