Recipe: Rotel Meat Sauce for Spaghetti (using ground beef and mushrooms, 1970's)
Main Dishes - Pasta, SaucesROTEL MEAT SAUCE FOR SPAGHETTI

1 lb. ground beef
2 small onions, chopped
1/2 cup chopped celery
2 tablespoons oil
1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
1 cup sliced mushrooms (or one 4 oz. can of mushrooms)
1 (10 oz.) can RO-TEL Tomatoes and Green Chilies
2 teaspoons spaghetti sauce seasoning (or 1 teaspoon sweet basil, 1 teaspoon oregano and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder)
Hot cooked spaghetti (for serving)
Brown ground beef, onions and celery in oil and drain
Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer 30 minutes or longer if time permits. (Flavor improves with longer cooking time.)
Serve over hot, cooked spaghetti.
Makes 4-6 servings
