SWISS STEAK
1 (2-1/2 to 3 lb.) round steak
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
2 large onions, sliced
1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
Preheat 6-Quart Roaster Oven to 375 degrees F.
Lightly spray Cookwell with spray cooking oil. Place meat in preheated Cookwell. Brush Worcestershire sauce over meat; sprinkle on pepper. Cover; roast 20 minutes.
Add onions and stewed tomatoes.
Reduce temperature to 300 degrees F.;cover; roast 30 to 40 minutes (145 degrees F. to 160 degrees F. on meat thermometer).
FOR SLOW COOKING:
Brown meat then reduce temperature to 250 degrees F and roast 2 to 3 hours or until tender.
