Thank You: Dear Gladys - happiness and sadness;, too
Misc.First, thank you for the marinade recipe and method of cooking the pork - now I just have to find the narangas agrias!!
Second, your Thanksgiving sounds like a wonderful time of loving relatives and friends - but also alot of work for you - luckily, you had some good help with decorating and food preparation. I hope you got to put your feet up with a nice glass of wine after everyone left! You have a very "visual" way of writing - in my mind's eye, I can "see" everything that you talk about.
I feel badly for your sweet little nephew and the diagnosis. It will be a hard time for him and for his family but love will carry you all through. It sounds as though she will have a good support system in place, and she will need lots of that. Does he speak or does he appear to understand and connect with you as you talk to him? It's a very difficult condition, takes lots and lots of patience.
During my last few years in nursing, before retirement, I was a nurse in a private boarding school for dyslexic boys, some of whom were also autistic in varying degrees. With lots of intensive work, your nephew can certainly be helped to reach his full potential. God bless you and his family with love and patience.
Thanks again, Gladys, for the recipe.
Love, June
