Unfortunately, we are only hurting the farmers

Misc.

I live across the road from a family dairy farm and I can tell you first hand that THEY are NOT the ones making out on the higher prices. In fact the more butter sits on the shelf, the more THEY suffer. But I only know of one way which would possibly affect the higher prices and cause the CORPORTATE DAIRY FARMS and other businessmen down the line to cut THEIR profits. Buy your dairy products from local Farm Cooperatives if it is possible. Many grocery stores do carry their products. That way at least the small struggling family farms would at least benefit somewhat. Anyway, that's what I and many in our community have been doing lately. If I have to shell out an extra buck I want it to go where it is deserved most - and that is NOT big agribusiess! Thanks for letting me express my opinion :)
