Recipe: Bob: I was wondering the same thing as you. - Also, Coconut Pecan Brownies (using brownie mix)

Misc.
That is exactly how I found the recipe at the Internet. Anyway, my impression was that they omitted the instruction of adding the ingredients listed in the box assuming that it was understood that those ingredients should be added. I would do the recipe following the instructions in the box & adding the 2 eggs & the sour cream.

Editor's note:
I was wondering the same thing regarding the ingredients but I just read the recipe again and it says to stir the dry brownie mix into the other ingredients. Maybe I'll pick up a brownie mix and give it a try! I did find another similar recipe that does call for all the other ingredients plus the sour cream (and frosting mix):

Coconut Pecan Brownies

1 pkg (21.5 oz) fudge brownie mix
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1 egg
1 can Pillsbury Coconut Pecan Frosting Supreme
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350. Grease bottom (only) of 13x9 pan. In large bowl, combine brownie mix, water, oil and egg. Beat well. Add frosting and sour cream; mix well. Spread batter in pan. Sprinkle pecans and chocolate chips evenly over top. Bake for 42-52 minutes (until toothpick comes out clean). Cool completely. Cut into 36 bars.

Happy Baking!
And thank you Gladys :-)
