Chicken & Peaches Piquant

1 pound cooked chicken
1 large onion -- large dice
1 green pepper -- large dice
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
1 cup catsup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3/4 teaspoon cardamom
16 ounces canned peaches -- drain, reserve syrup
1/4 cup golden raisins

Saute onion and green pepper in oil in lg. skillet over medium heat 2 until
tender. Mix catsup, reserved peach syrup, soy sauce, water and cardamom; add to skillet. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer until it begins to thicken slightly. Stir in peaches and raisins. Simmer until it reaches desired consistency. Serve w/rice.
