Recipe(tried): Coney Island Hot Dog Onions

I got this recipe from Jeff Smith (The Frugal Gourmet) who got this recipe from his wife, who is originally from Brooklyn, N.Y.

3 very large onions, sliced
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt & Pepper
1 cup of marinara sauce
2-3 tbsp paprika

Saute onions in olive oil. Add salt and pepper.
When onions are translucent, about 7 minutes, add the marinara sauce and stir in the paprika. Simmer on med-low for at least 20 minutes.
