Recipe: Fancy Crab Dip (using cream cheese and evaporated milk) (Carnation, 1961)
Appetizers and SnacksFANCY CRAB DIP
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature
1/4 cup undiluted Carnation Evaporated Milk
1 cup (7 1/2 oz. can) flaked crab meat
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon grated onion
crispy crackers (for serving)
Gradually add evaporated milk to softened cheese until smooth and creamy. Add crab meat, garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and onion, Mix well.
Chill thoroughly and serve with crispy crackers.
Makes about 2 cups
