FANCY WALNUT BROWNIES
1 pkg. Duncan Hines brownies plus walnuts mix
1 egg
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. Crisco oil or Puritan oil
GLAZE:
4 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1/2 c. milk or water
24 walnut halves, for garnish
CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE:
1/3 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp. Crisco shortening
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place 24 (2") foil cupcake liners on baking sheet.
2. For brownies, combine brownie mix, egg, water and oil in large bowl. Stir with spoon until well blended, about 50 strokes. Stir in contents of walnut packet from mix. Fill each cupcake liner with 2 generous tablespoons batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until set. Cool completely. Remove cupcake liners. Turn upside down on cooking rack.
3. For Glaze: Combine confectioners' sugar and milk or water. Blend until smooth. Spoon glaze over first brownie to completely cover. Top immediately with a walnut half. Repeat for remaining brownies. (Allow glaze to set before adding chocolate drizzle.)
4. For Chocolate Drizzle: Place chocolate chips and shortening in double boiler and melt. Drizzle over brownies.
