GRILLED AHI TUNA TERIYAKI
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp dry white wine or sherry
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp chopped fresh ginger or 1 tsp dried ginger
2 cloves minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
4 (4 ounce each) yellow fin tuna steaks
In small bowl combine; soy sauce, wine, lime juice, honey, ginger, garlic, salt & pepper.
Place tuna and sauce together in a large zip top plastic bag. Seal and marinate in refrigerator for 4 hours, turning bag occasionally.
Remove tuna from bag and reserve marinade*.
Preheat grill.
Place tuna on a grill rack coated with cooking spray. Grill until desired doneness, approximately 3 minutes on each side for medium rare. Baste frequently with reserved marinade.
Remove from heat and serve immediately with your favorite veggies.
*Before using for basting, place marinade in a saucepan and boil 2-3 minutes.
