Layered Pea Salad

1 head lettuce, chopped
1/2 red onion, chopped
1 large green pepper, chopped
1 cup chopped celery
1 10oa. pkg. frozen petite peas, cooked
1 pkg. dry Italian salad dressing
1 pint mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
6 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
8 strips bacon, crisply fried, drained and crumbled

Arrange lettuce evenly in bottom of a large glass bowl or 8x8 inch glass pan. Layer all vegetable ingredients. Mix mayonnaise with sour cream and Italian. Spoon over vegetables. Do not mix salad. sprinkle top with cheese and bacon. Cover with foil. Leave air space between salad and foil so foil does not touch top of salad. Refrigerate at least 8 hours. Serves 9. Toss salad prior to serving.
