NOODLEBURGER CASSEROLE
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon butter or margarine
1 lb ground beef
1 (10 3/4 oz) can condensed cream of tomato soup
1 cup water
2 cups uncooked macaroni
1 (1 lb) cream-style corn (optional)
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
In a large skillet, cook the chopped onion in the butter or margarine. Mix in 1 lb ground beef and cook until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
Stir in (undiluted) tomato soup, 1 cup water, the macaroni; cook until macaroni is tender. You can add a can of creamed corn if you think you might like it. Pour into a casserole dish.
Bake, uncovered, 25 minutes at 350 degrees F. Sprinkle with grated cheddar; bake another 20 minutes
