My kids' favorite punch recipe is very simple - put a half gallon of any flavor sherbet in punch bowl - pour over a can of any flavor Hi-C or other punch - pour in a 2-liter bottle of Sprite or 7-Up.
I used the following punch recipe for a Girl Scout Halloween meeting and liked it very much.
1 gallon orange sherbet, softened
1 quart pineapple juice, chilled
1 liter lemon-lime soda, chilled
Combine sherbet and pineapple juice in punch bowl; stir. Add soda; stir until sherbet is almost dissolved.
I also recently used the following recipe from an Amish cookbook (made in my crockpot - it was really good):
Spiced Cider
1 gallon apple cider
1 cup orange juice
1 tbsp. lemon juice
3 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. ground cloves
sugar to taste
Mix all ingredients except sugar together. Taste and add sugar if needed. Bring to a boil and simmer for 6 - 8 minutes - strain and serve hot or cold.
