Baked Potato Chips
Materials:
1/2 tsp. margarine
1 large potato
1 tsp. powdered garlic (approx.)
1 tsp. paprika (approx.)
Equipment:
Baking sheets
Aluminum foil
Paper towel
Paring knife
1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2.Line the baking sheet with aluminum foil.
3.Using the paper towel, lightly rub the margarine over the foil to keep the potatoes from sticking.
4.Wash the potato.
5.Leaving the skin on, cut the potato into thin slices.
6.Spread the potato slices on the baking sheet.
7.Sprinkle the potatoes with powdered garlic.
8.Sprinkle the potatoes with paprika.
9.Bake 10 to 20 minutes. The thinnest may be done in 10 minutes. Thicker potatoes may take as long as 20 minutes. Remove potatoes from the pan as they turn brown and crispy.
Notes:
1.If cut potatoes are left in the air, they will get dark. To avoid this, put the cut potatoes in cold water.
2.Other herbs and seasonings can be used. If you really miss the salt, try using reduced sodium salt on the chips.
