Recipe: Raspberry Bavarian Cream (using sour cream, gelatin, frozen raspberries)

1 cup milk
1 (1/4 ounce) envelope unflavored gelatin
2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup light or no-fat sour cream
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 (10 ounce) package frozen raspberries in syrup, thawed
In 2-quart saucepan heat milk over medium heat until it just comes to a boil (5 to 7 minutes).
In small bowl sprinkle gelatin over water; let stand 5 minutes to soften.
Add gelatin mixture and sugar to milk; stir until gelatin and sugar are dissolved. Cool to room temperature (30 minutes).
With wire whisk stir in sour cream and almond extract until smooth. Pour into 1-quart mold. Cover; refrigerate until set (2 to 3 hours).
Unmold onto serving plate; top with raspberries. Cover; store refrigerated.
