Recipe: Spareribs and Apples

Spareribs and Apples

5 pounds meaty spareribs
3 tbsp. butter
pepper
2 onions, sliced thinly
1 carrot, grated
3 apples, cored and sliced
1 1/2 cups dry white wine

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a skillet lightly brown ribs in butter, sprinkle with pepper.

Place 1/2 of onions and carrot in a 13x9-inch baking dish, then add 1/2 the apple slices and all of the ribs. Cover with remaining onions, carrots, apples and wine.

Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Good served with mashed potatoes!
