Swiss Potato and Cheese Skillet

Makes 4 servings
1 tablespoon margarine or butter
1 cup chopped onions
1 (28 oz.) pkg. frozen chunky-style seasoned hash brown potatoes
1/4 cup water
8 oz. (2 cups) shredded Swiss or Gruyere Cheese
Dash nutmeg, if desired
Melt margarine in a 12 inch nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cook 2 to 3 minutes or until tender and lightly browned, stirring frequently. Add potatoes and water; mix well. Cover; cook 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat to low. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover; cook 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
