Recipe: Tony's Seafood Pie (using shrimp and crab, Tony's Creole Seasoning)

1 (9-inch) pie shell
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup chopped celery
1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms
1/2 pound lump crab meat
1/2 pound shrimp, boiled and peeled
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided use
1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Dash of hot pepper sauce
Tony's Creole Seasoning, to taste
1/4 cup slivered almonds
Partially bake pie shell at 400 degrees F for 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from oven.
Lower oven temperature to 350 degrees F.
Melt butter in a large skillet and saute bell pepper, onions, celery, and mushrooms until tender.
Add crab meat, shrimp, 3/4 cup Cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise,egg, lemon juice, hot pepper sauce, stirring well until moist. Add Tony's Creole Seasoning.
Remove from heat and drain excess liquid. Spoon into pie shell.
Bake for about 20 minutes. Top with almonds and remaining 1/4 cup Cheddar cheese. Bake another 10 minutes.
