Recipe: Turkey Stuffing (using mashed potatoes, crackers, and bread)

Turkey Stuffing (mashed potatoes, crackers, and bread)

This stuffing is one that my Mother and her Mother would make and it has been my favorite.

For a 15 to 20 pound turkey

8 cups potatoes, cooked and mashed
2 cups bread, cubed
2 cups crackers, crushed
2 onions, chopped
1/2 cup butter or more to taste
salt to taste
pepper
Summer Savory to taste (dried and crushed)

Just mix all together and stuff the turkey. I find it best to use white bread in the stuffing.
