ISO: Crockpot Barbecue Chicken Wings - That didn't work? Did I do it wrong?

I followed your instructions but I ended up with overcooked chicken wings with no flavour. Is it beacuse I did them on high for 3 hrs do you think? Am I supposed to marinade them overnight first or something? Nothing stuck to them at all. Please lemme know what you think.
