WOW Barbara, you have loaded me with great ideas!
I was worried over the moisture content of the canned peaches and apricots being just too juicy, but overcame that problem by placing the fruit on a fine holed steaming screen and baking them for a few hours in a very slow oven so as to make the fruit somewhat drier. The results have been wonderful!
Thanks again for all your hard work on my behalf, and many more thanks from my bachelor friend, who is reaping the true rewards of our efforts!
