Thank You: Jackie - winter in Western Mass -

Hi Jackie - as I recall, you live up in my former neck of the woods - western Mass? Near Springfield? I was up near the Vermont border in the beginning of the mountains. Anyway, I remember those white-knuckle trips to work early on those winter mornings when I was an OR nurse and had to be ready to go on the job by 7am, traveling up 91 on ice and snow before the snow plows had gone thru.

I DON'T MISS THAT AT ALL!! I miss the beauty of the snows and the way New England looks after one of those storms, but sure don't miss having to get out in it and drive. We always used to "swear" at those New Yorkers and Ct. drivers(LOL) who'd be racing up 91 at top speed during one of those blizzards with their ski racks, without their snow tires on! (Sorry, NY and Ct)

Anyway, I've been meaning to thank you for that recipe for the Pork Tenderloin with the Balsamic Cranberry Sauce - somehow pork tenderloin needs that sweet, tart fruit sauce to round it out, doesn't it? I haven't tried it, but have printed it out for one of our "cool" evenings - (60's!)

Love, your New England transplanted friend, June
