Recipe: Candied Sweet Potatoes Mardi-Gras Style (Brer Rabbit Molasses, 1956)

CANDIED SWEET POTATOES MARDI-GRAS STYLE

Boil and peel 4 to 6 medium-size sweet potatoes (or buy the canned kind).

Brush potatoes with melted fat; place in skillet. Add 1/2 cup Brer Rabbit real New Orleans Molasses, (2 tbsp, of butter and 1 tbsp. of lemon juice may also be added).

Cook over low heat turning frequently, until potatoes are candied.
