Recipe: Father's Sauce De Resistance (barbecue sauce) (Brer Rabbit Molasses, 1956)

"For anything barbecued - hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken and chops."
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup Brer Rabbit Molasses
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
salt (to taste)
a garlic clove
Combine all ingredients together in a saucepan. Bring to boil. Simmer a few minutes, or until thick as desired.
Makes about 1 cup
