Recipe: Beer Soup with Cheese

Beer Soup With Cheese

1/2 cup Onion; Chopped, 1 Medium
2 Tbsp Margarine Or Butter
12 oz Beer; Any Brand, 1 Btl/can
1/2 cup Carrot; Finely Chopped
1/2 cup Celery; Finely Chopped
2 cup Chicken Broth
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Cumin; Ground
1/4 tsp Nutmeg; Ground
1 Cloves; Ground, Dash of
1 Pepper; Dash Of
1 cup Dairy Sour Cream

GARNISH:
1 cup Shredded Cheese

Cook and stir onion in margarine in a 3-quart saucepan until brown. Add beer and vegetables. Add seasonings and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir in sour cream and heat through. do not boil. Sprinkle cheese over soup before serving.
