Chocolate Chunk-Peanut Butter Ice Cream

3 large eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons peanut butter
3 (12oz) cans evaporated milk
3 cups milk
6 (2.1oz) chocolate-covered crispy peanut butter
candy bars (such as "Butterfinger") -- crushed

Whisk together first 5 ingred. in a heavy saucepan; cook over med. heat, whisking often, 15 min or until a candy thermometer registers 160 degrees. Cool 20 mim. Stir in candy. Pour mixture into freezer container of a 5-qt. electric freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's directions. Pack freezer with additional ice and rock salt; let stand 1 hour before serving. Makes about 1 gal.
