Recipe: Creamettes Spinach Noodle Casserole (using kielbasa and Swiss cheese)

1 pkg. (8 oz.) Creamette Medium Egg Noodles, uncooked
1/2 lb. kielbasa, cut into half-slices
2 cups (16 oz.) dairy sour cream
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives or green onion tops
3/4 teaspoon salt, divided use
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup milk
2 cups (10 oz. pkg.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup (4 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese
Paprika
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cook noodles according to package directions for 8 minutes; drain. Rinse with cold water to cool quickly; drain well.
In large bowl stir together noodles, kielbasa, sour cream, chives and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
In another bowl stir together cream cheese and milk until smooth.
Stir in spinach, nutmeg and remaining salt.
In 13 x 9-inch baking dish, spoon one-half noodle mixture. Spread cream cheese mixture over noodles; spoon remaining noodle mixture on top.
Cover with foil; bake 25 minutes.
Remove foil; sprinkle with Swiss cheese and paprika. Bake 5 minutes more or until cheese melts.
Servings: 8 servings (1 cup each)
