Recipe: Italian Garden Soup (5 cans, Del Monte recipe)

ITALIAN GARDEN SOUP

1 (14.5 oz.) can Del Monte Italian Beans, drained
1 (14.5 oz.) can Del Monte Zucchini with Italian-Style Tomato
Sauce
1 (14.5 oz.) can Del Monte Peas and Carrots
1 (14.5 oz.) can Del Monte Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic and Oregano
1 (14 oz.) can chicken or beef broth

Combine all ingredients in large pot. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Serve with breadsticks, croutons or warm bread, if desired.

VARIATIONS:
- For an even heartier meal, add cooked pasta, diced cooked chicken, beef or sausage.
- Substitute other vegetables such as Asparagus or Whole New Potatoes, cubed. Just add one more can each of broth and tomatoes for every 2 cups of additional ingredients.
