Recipe(tried): Snipple Beans with Pork

Main Dishes - Pork, Ham
Snipple Beans was my birthday meal- I waited all year for this!
My birthday cake was a blackberry jam cake with black walnuts and caramel icing! Jam was homemade, and I cracked the walnuts.

Snipple Beans
Pickled green beans, pork neck bones.

Meaty pork neck bones in pot just covered with water, add 1 or 2 dried cayenne peppers and a couple bay leaves. Bring to boil for few minutes then slow simmer till done.

De-fat the liquid and remove any meat left on bones and return to pot, discard bones.

Add potatoes cut in chunks (or new potatoes). Rinse pickled beans and add to pot. Cook till potatoes are tender.

Mom would serve this over cornbread, it is delicious!
