ISO: Vulcanbrot (German)
Misc.I am searching for a recipe for VULCANBROT (spelling?). Often times it accompanied the rinderwurst sausage at breakfast. -- The recipe included rye flour, blood, cracklings, et cetera. It was made every year when there was an annual "butchering" event on the farm near Elgin. My mother wrote a daily diary for 68 years, and Vulcanbrot is mentioned in the early years of her diaries, 1940 - 1956.
