Happy New Year To You Too, Sally! (with photos)

Misc.
Hello Sally!

I am so glad to hear you are getting the Paula Deen Magazine, I too love it. I cannot wait for her next issue. I just know it will be full of fun recipes to try out for Spring.

You sound just like me Sally, I hate to put away the holiday decorations but you know what? There's always another holiday or season just around the corner. I like to decorate my front entrance with seasonal flowers and a flying flag.

Right now I am flying a big frog and the colors on that decorative flag go with some lovely deep purple petunias, butter yellow bush daisies, and dusty pink and light pink snapdragons I put into an old galvanized washtub that sits on the old iron rocker in my front yard. But I am being told to either cover them up or bring them into the garage as we are expecting frosty weather tonight. I will send Betsy a pic so that she can put it on because they look so beautiful!

I also decorated my front door with a hand-made wreath for the Pirate Invasion which is celebrated here in Tampa Bay around the end of January or beginning of February. It sort of coincides with Mardi Gras. My Mom and I had great fun putting it together.

Sally, I bet it is colder in the Atlanta area than here. Are you making any new recipes this year to warm us up?

Let us hear from you real soon!

Hugs, Gina
