Recipe: Summer Sausage Kabobs (using Italian sausage, mushrooms and peppers)

Main Dishes - Pork, Ham
SUMMER SAUSAGE KABOBS

1 pound Italian sausage links, uncooked, cut into 1 inch pieces
6 large fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 medium red bell pepper, cut into chunks
1 medium green bell pepper, cut into chunks

In a saucepan, simmer sausage in enough water to cover for 5-10 minutes; drain and set aside.

In another saucepan, simmer mushrooms in 1 tablespoon butter and enough water to cover for 3-4 minutes; drain.

Thread sausage, mushrooms and peppers alternately on skewers.

Grill or broil for 7-8 minutes on each side.

Makes 2-3 servings
