Recipe: Chocolate Pecan Bars

Chocolate Pecan Bars

Crust:
2 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup softened butter

Mix until coarse crumbs. Press into 9x13 or 15x10 pan and bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

Filling:
6 squares semi-sweet chocolate
1 1/2 cups corn syrup
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cups chopped pecans

Heat chocolate and corn syrup in saucepan over low heat, stirring until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour filling over hot crust. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Cool in pan on rack.

Drizzle over squares 2 squares semi-sweet chocolate which has been melted in microwave or over hot water.
