Recipe: Old-Fashioned Molasses Drop Cookies (using sour milk, raisins, and walnuts)

OLD-FASHIONED MOLASSES DROP COOKIES

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup molasses
3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 cup sour milk
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease baking sheets.

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and molasses; set aside.

Combine flour, baking soda and spices. Add flour mixture and sour milk to molasses mixture alternately. Fold in raisins and walnuts. Drop by spoonfuls on prepared baking sheets.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
