Recipe: Molasses Butterballs (no spices, rolled in powdered sugar)

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups very finely chopped walnuts or pecans
1/4 cup powdered sugar (for topping)
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter until fluffy; add brown sugar and molasses and beat until fluffy again. Add flour and beat until well mixed. Stir in nuts.
Shape the dough into 1-inch balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 325 degree F oven about 20 minutes or until done. Remove from the cookie sheet and cool slightly.
Roll the cookies in powdered sugar and let cool completely. After they are cool, roll again in the powdered sugar.
Makes about 5 dozen cookies
