SUPPER HAM STRATA
8 white bread slices
8 Velveeta Slices Pasteurized Process Cheese Spread
1 cup chopped ham (or 8 crisply cooked bacon slices, crumbled)
1/4 cup chopped pimento
1 1/4 cups milk
4 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
Red bell pepper rings (optional, for garnish)
Place four bread slices on bottom of greased 8-inch square baking dish. Cover with four process cheese spread slices, ham, pimento and remaining process cheese spread.
Combine milk, egg, onion, parsley and seasonings; mix well. Pour half of milk mixture over process cheese spread. Top with remaining bread and milk mixture. Cover; refrigerate several hours or overnight.
WHEN READY TO BAKE:
Bake at 325 degrees F for 55 minutes. Top with additional process cheese spread, if desired. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with red pepper rings.
