WILD RICE WITH MUSHROOMS
1/2 cup uncooked wild rice
1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
1 (10 3/4 oz) can condensed chicken broth
1 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Cook wild rice as directed on pkg label.
Cook long grain rice as directed on pkg label, using the chicken broth for part of the liquid called for.
Cook onion in butter until tender, not brown. Sprinkle with salt and nutmeg. Add mushrooms and cook a few minutes.
Stir in hot cooked rices and parsley.
Makes 8 servings
