ISO: Tennesse Chess Cake (Tennessee T-Cakes copycat recipe)

Desserts - Cakes
Hi guys, well I don't have much time. I found the recipe for tennessee t-cake. It is an old recipe I recorded food network and wrote down the ingredients that she used and cross reference it with different recipes I found. Well I got it tried it and it was good and the looked pretty much like the tea cakes on tv. It has the exact ingredients. Trust me. Instead of putting it in a whole cake pan just put them halfway in a muffin lined cup. These are so good that I was asked to make them for a wedding. well guys let me know how you liked them.

TENNESSE CHESS CAKE

1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 (1 lb.) pkg. brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
1 cup broken pecans
Powdered sugar (optional to top cake)

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Grease and flour a 13x9-inch baking pan.

Heat butter and brown sugar on low heat until sugar is melted. Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients; mix well. Spread batter in prepared baking pan.

Bake in preheated 300 degree F oven for 30 to 40 minutes. Cut into squares while hot and dust with powdered sugar.

Makes 15 to 18 squares
