Tennessee T-cakes are different than Tea Cakes
Misc. The Tennessee T-Cakes (T Dash Cakes) are different from the old-fashioned rolled and cut tea cakes.
Old fashion tea cakes are more like a scone, or shortcake. Tennessee T-cakes are simply a unique brand of confection developed by the Nashville based company. They are very sweet and moist..somewhere between a vanilla brownie and muffin. To me, they have the taste of a chocolate chip cookie, without the chips. I believe the ingredients are brown sugar (possibly dark), eggs, flour, melted butter, and vanilla.
I agree that they are really just a blondie baked in a mini-muffin cup. There have been several good clones posted here.
