Sweet and Sour Meatballs ala Rosie

3 pounds Ground Beef
1 Packet dry onion soup mix
1/2 rolled oats
4 eggs
1 head cabbage chopped in large chunks
1 bottle chili sauce

Mix ground beef, onion soup mix, oats and eggs in large bowl. Shape into medium sized meatballs and bake in 13x9 pan for about 20 minutes. Remove from pan, discard drippings. Layer meatballs in crock pot with cabbage. End with cabbage.
Pour undiluted chil sauce over meatballs and cabbage. Fill chili sauce bottle with water and pour over chili sauce. Cook on low heat for at least 8 hours.
