Recipe: Apple Ideas

Recipe Collections
I clipped this list of apple ideas from a magazine some time ago.

Apple Ideas:

1) Spread peanut butter on a wedge of apple.

2) Mix chunks of fresh apple into hot oatmeal or cold cereal.

3) Freeze apple juice for a naturally sweet juice pop.

4)Mix chunks of apple into chicken, turkey or tuna salad for a sweet colorful crunch (really tasty with a few raisins and pinch of curry powder).

5)Top wedges with thin pieces of low-fat cheese. Heat in oven or microwave until cheese melts.

6) Dip wedges in honey, then chopped peanuts, almonds or pistachios.

7) For an easy company dessert or snack, serve wedges of Gruyere and blue cheese (try Saga blue, Roquefort, Blue Castello or Maytag blue) with sliced apples and toasted walnuts. ( A glass of port or sherry is a delicious accompaniment).

8) Dip chunks of apple and bread in cheese fondue.

9) Dip apple chunks in hot fudge or caramel sauce.
