Recipe: Marinated Cucumber Salad

Salads - Assorted
Marinated Cucumber Salad:
Serves 4-6

2 cucumbers,thinly sliced
1 yellow onion,peeled,thinly sliced & separated into onion rings
1 tsp.salt
1 c.water
1/2 c.white vinegar
1/2 c.sugar
1/2 tsp.celery seeds
1/2 tsp.mustard seeds

In a bowl,put the thinly sliced cucumbers & onion rings.

In a small saucepan combine the salt,water,vinegar & sugar,heating slightly to dissolve the sugar.Add the celery & mustard seeds.

Pour over the cucumbers & onion rings.Cover & refrigerate for 24 hours before serving.
