Recipe(tried): Marinated Tomato Slices

Marinated Tomato Slices:
Serves 6

4 tomatoes,sliced
1 sweet onion,thinly sliced
1 c.vegetable oil
1/3 c.red wine vinegar
1/8 tsp.garlic powder
salt & pepper to taste
pinch of sugar
Lettuce leaves,opt.

Arrange tomato & onion slices in a large shallow container.

Combine oil,vinegar,garlic powder & pinch of sugar,stirring well.Pour over tomato & onion slices.

Sprinkle with salt & pepper.Cover & refrigerate at least 1 hour.Serve over lettuce leaves if desired.
